The Zoll AED 3 defibrillator stands out in the market with its premium features. A full coloured screen shows the user diagrams to complement audio instructions. It is also the fastest defibrillator on the market for analysing and delivering a shock to the patient.
Semi or Fully Automatic?
This defibrillator is available in two options: Semi-Automatic or Fully Automatic.
- A Semi-Automatic Defibrillator has a shock button which requires the user to press to deliver the shock.
- An Automatic Defibrillator conducts a countdown to automatically delivering the shock.
Some users may feel uneasy about pressing a shock button in an Emergency, however, a semi-automatic will deliver the shock quicker as it does not require a countdown. On the Zoll AED 3 Automatic the pre-shock pause time is 5 seconds longer to warn the rescuer to stand clear of the patient before shock delivery. Enhanced Real CPR Help®
The Zoll AED 3™ automated external defibrillator (AED) offers detailed CPR guidance with its proprietary Real CPR Help® technology. It provides more powerful full-color images, a CPR cycle timer, and combines them with voice and text prompts to guide responders through the rescue process. The integrated Real CPR Help provides real-time feedback, telling and showing rescuers when they need to “Push Harder” or when they are administering “Good Compressions.” This ensures that high-quality CPR is being delivered.
RapidShock™ Analysis
With RapidShock™ analysis, the Zoll AED 3™ enables the shortest rhythm analysis, leading to more continuous care and enhanced life-saving CPR. The RapidShock analysis capability allows the Zoll AED 3 to deliver a shock, if necessary, in as little as 5 seconds. By minimizing the pre-shock pause and allowing for more CPR, patient outcomes can be improved. Research has shown that reducing the time to shock after the CPR cycle ends may increase survival rates.
The 2015 ERC Guidelines note, “The delay between stopping chest compressions and delivery of the shock (the pre-shock pause) must be kept to an absolute minimum; any delay will reduce the chances of the shock being successful.”
Integrated Paediatric Rescue
Zoll simplifies paediatric rescue with its unique CPR Uni-padz™ electrodes and a child-mode setting. The universal pad design provides rescuers with a single, confident solution to treat both adult and paediatric victims of SCA by using the same set of electrode pads and activating child mode when needed.

Once enabled, the Zoll AED 3 will automatically report its readiness status, notify you of failed self-tests, and send email alerts, ensuring that you can take appropriate corrective actions and guarantee emergency readiness of your AEDs.
Also available for aviation
The Zoll AED 3 is also available as an Aviation model which meets all applicable RTCA Aviation standards and comes with a FAA-approved TSO C142-b battery pack to meet the latest TSO requirements making it ideal for both commercial and private aircrafts.

The Zoll AED3 Defibrillator fits perfectly into the full range of our Defibrillator Cabinets and is regularly used with our AWC001 outdoor, heated, locked cabinetand our AWC003 outdoor, heated, unlocked cabinet. It can also be paired with one of our bleed kits to enhance lifesaving capabilities in a range of emergencies.
