Different ways to finance a defib & cabinet

Posted on 29 March 2021

There are many ways to finance a defibrillator cabinet in your community, or even a bleed control kit, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to be able to offer this lifesaving equipment to your community.

Remember – less than 10% of people experiencing cardiac arrests in the community survive.  Yet survival rates in the community, can be as high as 75% when an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is used within 3-5 minutes of a cardiac arrest.

Added to which bleeding from a significant trauma injury caused in the home, a road traffic accident, or even a fall can prove fatal in three to five minutes.

From just £1 a day

You can have a defibrillator and cabinet, or a combined cabinet in your community from as little as £1 a day with one of our finance options.   The cost is spread out with no initial outlay, which can really help communities to budget.*

Fundraising

Some communities choose to raise the money themselves.  We work closely with AED Donate who help communities raise the money for lifesaving equipment.  For more information on how to do this, please visit their website here.

Rotary Organisations

A number of our customers have found that local Rotary Clubs are very supportive in assisting with the purchase of lifesaving equipment such as defibs and cabinets.

Rotary clubs are community based and there are over 1700 clubs in the UK.  To find your local club, use the Rotary Organisations Club finder by clicking here

Approach your local council

Your council are there to serve the community they are based in, and are given a yearly budget by your District Council which helps them maintain the area they look after – from police/community support officers, lights, cleaning etc.

If you can approach them with why you want it and where, it will be raised at the next council meeting and you may well be asked to come along and present your case. It is worth having some statistics to back up your application, which you can find in a number of different blogs on our website.
