A full online portal gives you access and control to your defibrillator cabinets, be that a single unit or 100’s of cabinets. Custodians can access and update cabinets they are responsible for, whilst managers, charities, etc. can have an overview of all sites, receiving only critical alarms that may require their intervention.
Online site check reports aid custodians in completing their weekly checks and ensure an accurate log is kept of when the defibrillator has been checked. This is an important record for assurance that defib sites are being correctly managed and looked after. In addition a physical check button is pressed when the defib is being checked to provide the extra assurance that the custodian has visited the site in person and not just completed a form remotely.
Easy to use alarm features will show you any immediate problems with sites with email notification (and SMS notifications to come soon) when certain critical activities happen including defibrillator being removed.
With notifications received within 30 seconds of an event taking place, you get instant notification of what is happening with your defibrillator.
When paired with DefibTrack, our new Defibrillator Tracking system (available from Spring 2025) not only will you know when your defibrillator has been deployed but you can also see exactly where it is allowing speedy recovery of the defibrillator after use and allowing the public access defibrillator site to be operational again.
DefibMonitor requires a power supply, it can be connected to the existing power to the defibrillator cabinet heater, where a heater is connected via a 3-pin IEC cable (commonly known as a kettle lead) the spider cable will allow DefibMonitor to be connected to this power supply with no electrical work. If the heater is hard wired then electrical work inside the cabinet will be needed to correctly connect DefibMonitor.
A door switch sensor and a defib sensor will need to be correctly positioned in the cabinet to detect the status of the door and defibrillator. These are attached in place using 3M sticky pads. The DefibMonitor product is 160mm x 115mm x 50mm (HxWxD) and can be positioned in any orientation in the cabinet. Depending on the cabinet location and local mobile phone signal strength, an external antenna may need to be installed for DefibMonitor to operate correctly. In tests this has only been required in the most remote of locations when housed in metal cabinets.
Our installation can complete the install of DefibMonitor for you and complete a defib and cabinet service whilst on site. Please contact us for more information about our installation service.
DefibMonitor is a comprehensive and robust device, it is designed to last at least 10 years – the typical life of most defibrillator cabinets on the market.
A subscription is required to access the portal and receive notifications.
If you are looking to deploy DefibMonitor over a large fleet of cabinets please contact us for further information and subscription pricing.
